Dr. Zbigniew Wojtasik (aka ‘Zig’) is the founder of Surgiservices. He obtained his certificate of specialization in anaesthesiology  from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1988 and is Anesthesia Director for The Plastic Surgery Clinic.

Andrew has been a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario since 2003. Andrew has a been a member of the Surgiservices team since 2009 and currently holds certificates for ACLS, PALS, BLS and HARP.

Dr. Peter Stubbs joined Surgiservices in 2014. He trained at the University Hospital SUNY Upstate in New York and received his board certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology. After practicing cardiac anesthesia and being the former chief of robotic anesthesia in Syracuse, he moved to Ontario to provide care mainly in outpatient anesthesia and in community hospitals.

Ria has been a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario since 2014. She has extensive pediatric experience from her work at McMaster Children's Hospital. She has been working in office-based anesthesia since 2020, and continues to strive to provide safe and compassionate nursing care to all her patients. In her free time, you can find her browsing books at the library, trying new foods she saw on Instagram, or at a park with her dog.

Anne da Cunha, a Registered Nurse with College of Nurses of Ontario since 1993. Working in an out of hospital dental surgery clinics since 2006. Joined Surgiservices in 2011.
Prior to this worked as a Community Visiting Nurse in Region of Peel.
Currently holds certification in ACLS PALS and CPR.

Dr. Kenji Miyata, who also holds a PhD, is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and did further training in anesthesia. Dr. Miyata is a member of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society and has been practicing anesthesia since 2006. He is currently an active staff member and the former Chief of the Department of Anesthesia at the Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville.

Larissa Henrich is a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. She obtained her BScN from McMaster University in Hamilton in 2014. She started her career at the Brantford General Hospital working as part of their centralized resource team, where she worked on several different units ranging from surgical, medical, paediatrics, medically complex, palliative, cardiology and the emergency room setting. As well as Lansdowne Children Centre in Brantford where she worked with medically complex paediatric patients in the community setting. From here she expanded her career and when back and obtained her critical care certificate and started working in the critical care and emergency room setting exclusively. She has since taken her knowledge and nursing expertise to the Norfolk General Hospital where she works in the Emergency Room as well has expanding her nursing role into the field of dentistry. She enjoys hot yoga and spending time with her family, friends and puppy. She maintains certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, CTAS, critical care and NVCI.

Marijana Milkovich is a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.  She received her BScN from the University of Toronto in 1994.  Marijana has extensive experience in Paediatric Nursing having worked at Sick Children’s Hospital and has also worked in Case Management for the CCAC.  She provides operations support to Surgiservices as well as recovery room nursing.  She currently holds certification in PALS, ACLS, and CPR.

Dr. Matt Kurrek received his anesthesia training in Boston before moving to Canada where he is a Professor of Anesthesia at the University of Toronto. His clinical work includes regular work in out-of-hospital premises for adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Stephen Milone graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto in 2002. He received is postgraduate training in Family Medicine and further training in anesthesia at Queen’s University. He is currently Active Staff in the Departments of Family Practice and Anesthesia at Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville.  A large part of his anesthetic practice is devoted to Pediatric anesthesia both in the hospital and in various out-of-hospital locations.

Dr. Mark Murphy graduated from the Schulich School of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario in 2007. He completed his Family Medicine residency in 2009 and his Family Medicine-Anesthesia residency in 2010. He has practised both Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine since 2010 at Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville, ON and is the current Chief of Anesthesiology at the hospital.

Dr. Songbo Zheng graduated from McMaster University Medical School in 2016 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at University of Ottawa in 2018. He completed the Family Practice Anesthesia program at University of Toronto in 2019 and practises anesthesia at Woodstock General Hospital.

After completing anesthesia residency in 2001 at Queen's University in Kingston, ON, Vinod worked in Saint John, NB for 7 years. In 2008, Dr. Nair moved to Owen Sound, ON to work at Grey Bruce Health Services. During this time, he also provided anesthesia care at Out of Hospital Premises and has focused on OHP anesthesia since 2021.

Dr. Rob Milkovich graduated from the University of Toronto medical school in 1995 and completed his residency in Family Medicine with further training in anesthesia at Queen’s University in Kingston in 1998.  After initially practicing Emergency Medicine for 10 years he had been practicing anesthesia in Orangeville Ontario at Headwaters Healthcare Centre since 1998.  He has a special interest in out of hospital anesthesia and currently sits on the Standards Committee for the Canadian Anesthesia Society as well as an Anesthesia Assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Kristina Milanovic is a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. She is committed to providing compassionate and quality care to all patients. Kristina received her BScN from the University of Western Ontario in 2020 and currently holds certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Tarek is a fellow of the royal college of physicians of Canada with training in anesthesiology and chronic pain medicine. He finished his residency at UofT in anesthesiology in 2016 and his fellowship in chronic pain in 2017. He also has training in cosmetic medicine since 2012 and his passion has led him to practice it in several clinics in the GTA and teach it to many practitioners. He enjoys playing various competitive sports and spending time with his family when he’s not at work. 

Branka graduated in 1989 from nursing school in Croatia with a speciality in pediatric nursing.  She qualified as an RN in Canada in 2001 and since then has worked mainly with pediatric patients at Bloorview Kids Rehab, as a  case manager for CCAC, and at Mackenzie Health in pediatrics and the NICU.  She is always passionate in working with kids and families.  She has been awarded a Presidents Choice award for excellence in nursing at Mackenzie Health in 2015.  She maintains certification in BLS, PALS and ACLS and has taught First Aid and CPR through the Red Cross.  She enjoys playing and teaching tennis.

Francine Mahabir graduated from George Brown College in 1976.  She has extensive pediatric experience and post operative experience having worked at Sick Children's Hospital and The Plastic Surgery Clinic.  Also has completed a post graduate OR course at George Brown and holds PALS and BLS.

My name is Lisa Alkema, I am a Registered Nurse.
My nursing career began in Toronto at Mount Sinai Hospital, NICU, where I worked for several years before moving into Emergency room and PACU .
New endeavours took me into Oral and Maxillofacial surgical nursing, which in turn lead me to Surgiservices, where I so enjoy being part of this incredible team!
